We are thrilled to announce that Jason from the Saskatchewan punk band Perverts has joined Ape War! We can't be stopped.
Ape War has been an absolute unit for nearly a decade and a half, delivering live music that distills crust punk, metallic hardcore, and noise rock into brutal blasts of simian fury. Our longevity is rooted in our shared drive to make heavy music fun, along with our refusal to hop on trends, chase clout, or engage in the toxic gatekeeping that our city has garnered a reputation for.
Get ready for a serving of grindcore, doom, thrash, crust punk, powerviolence, and hardcore—all in one explosive set.
If you enjoy music reviews of bands like OFF!, D.R.I., Boris, and Napalm Death, you'll likely have a fantastic time with us.
We've self-released three EPs on vinyl and have dropped three additional digital releases on Bandcamp. "WAR APE" was subsequently released on cassette by Zegema Beach's Tomb Tree Tapes as their premier release, which sold out quickly. We also have tracks featured on a couple of compilations, including one for Black Lab in Vancouver and another for SCUMTAPES out of Chicago.
